Creating electronic music is a process of experimenting with different tools and instruments, and learning on the go while making, at least for me. You’re an explorer of digital circuits, a sound designer looking for an inspiring, non-traditional sound to mix with layers upon layers of beats and other sounds.

Recording with small MIDI keyboards connected to the laptop, with music apps such as Animoog on the iPad, then transferring all the sounds to your DAW and playing around some more. You can take sounds, play with a little keyboard and modify them until you create these sonic landscapes that don’t exist in everyday life. Infinite possibilities are in front of you. It's just amazing..!!

2018. Music on hold. After the devastation of the studio burglary last year, see 2017 below, I've decided to do something positive about it.

It’s important that I start to make music again, but I need some help. I want to restart the audiovisual project (6 songs with 6 animation/videos) that I was working on before my studio was wrecked. I have a few bits and pieces of recordings, but I need to buy again the equipment that was stolen so I can record and produce the music.

I’m thinking of starting some fundraising or crowdfunding, I will post more info once I’ve set up what I need to do.

2017. Nuvolaris. New short track and new animation. I was playing around with sounds and came up with this short composition with an oriental-electronic vibe. I've been thinking for a while to work with Shapes and operators in After Effects, as well as adding Photoshop textures and AE blend modes, so this song was a good opportunity to do that. It's been fun to make :) Hope you enjoy the little experiment. (Nuvolaris is not part of the EP project > see 2016 below).

2017 - Dear friends, bad news: my studio was broken into in August, a burglar stole my equipment and vandalised the studio. It has come as a shock, for the devastation, for all the stuff broken and stolen, and because now it makes it impossible to make the new EP, to record the music. I feel really bad, low and angry. I will consider what to do and post an update.

Some photos of what they did to my studio, and this is after I had already cleaned up some of the mess the burglar had left.

The bastard had thrown on the floor some of my comics collection, my books and art materials, and spilled black ink all over. I don't understand why, I thought maybe to mess with any possible traces he might have left, or just to inflict more misery, to crush you. Bastard.

Police forensics didn't find any usable traces anyway. From the CCTV recording the guy was in and out of the building in about 12 minutes. I have the footage... I've been thinking of making a video with it, to use it in some way.

TIME WILL TELL image placeholder. New music and video coming soon.

November 2016: NEW EP in the pipeline!  Change of plans folks: the music for the Time Will Tell track is ready and laid out on the DAW (I made 3 different intros though, still undecided about which one to use) but I realised that to bring it to the next level I have to raise my game: I have to start studying EQing, compression, mixing, music production. Absolutely fascinating subject! A bit challenging :) but let's make the music better!

I also had a sonic creative outburst in Sept/Oct, I’ve come up with lots of new music phrases and I have more or less the structure for about 4 tracks + a couple of interludes, so I’m planning an EP for 2017. The creative side of things is not a problem, what is more difficult for me is the art (and science) of mixing, polishing, working with frequencies, compression etc. But the world of sound and music production is totally enthralling, I have a lot to learn and it’s really cool, including about sound frequencies absorption and diffusion in the new studio set up. So hopefully soon I’ll start mixing and experimenting with the new sounds, getting ready for next year :)  PS: ...and of course I'm planning animation and videos for each track..!! It's super exciting, an AV EP!! ...the only problem is time... ^__^
